2023 Nissan Pathfinder in Wellesley

2023 Nissan Pathfinder
It's easy to recognize the 2023 Pathfinder as part of the Nissan family, thanks to bold styling that features the company's signature V-Motion grille and expressive bodywork. Following last year’s redesign, this latest version continues the model's tradition of rugged capability thanks to multi-terrain drive technology for assured travel on and off the road, especially with the newly added Rock Creek trim. Confidence also comes from standard features like Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of the latest advanced driver aids. The spacious Pathfinder also gives its driver versatility with a seating configuration for up to eight or storage capacity as high as 80.5 cubic feet (with the second and third rows folded down).

Trims and Powertrain
Nissan offers the 2023 Pathfinder in five trims, S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum. All of them are equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. In the S, SV, SL, and Platinum, the powerplant produces 284 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque, but the output increases to 295 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque in the Rock Creek with the use of premium fuel. All-wheel drive is standard on the Rock Creek and is an option with the other trims (which otherwise would be front-wheel drive). The maximum towing capacity for the Pathfinder S is 3,500 pounds, while the other trims can handle up to 6,000 pounds when they’re properly equipped.
The 2023 Pathfinder with FWD is EPA-estimated for 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, while an S or SV with AWD is rated for 21 mpg around town and 27 mpg on the open road. Those fuel economy projections change to 20 city/25 highway for the Platinum and 20 city/23 highway for the Rock Creek.
Standard Features and Option Packages
Nissan gives the Pathfinder S a comprehensive equipment roster, including LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, tri-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and room for eight with EZ FLEX seating for easy access to the third row. Some other features of this base model are rear privacy glass, a 7-inch driver information display, and 18-inch alloy wheels. SV buyers will enjoy heated front seats, a ten-way power driver's seat, remote start, heated side mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and black roof rails. The SV Premium Package adds a panoramic moonroof, a power tailgate, second-row fold-down captain's chairs with a removable center console, and a trailer hitch receiver with a wiring harness.
The SL takes a big step toward luxury with leather upholstery (for first and second rows), a power tailgate, a heated steering wheel, and a four-way power front passenger seat. It also gets an auto-dimming rearview mirror, silver-finished roof rails, and an upgraded proximity keyless entry system. The available SL Premium Package contains the same features as the SV Premium Package plus heated outboard second-row seats and 20-inch dark finish alloy wheels. The Rock Creek starts with the features of the standard SL and adds fold-down second-row captain's chairs with a removable center console, LED fog lights, trim-specific exterior accents, an off-road-tuned suspension, a black tubular roof rack, exclusive leatherette upholstery with cloth inserts, and 18-inch black-finished alloy wheels.
The Platinum sits atop the Pathfinder range with all the equipment of the SL with the Premium Package (except that the second-row captain's chairs are optional) along with quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, a driver's memory system, a head-up display, a hands-free liftgate, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a power tilt/telescopic steering column, power-folding side mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and bronze-finished interior accents.
Safety and Assistive Technology
Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on all 2023 Pathfinders to equip them with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, and automatic high beams. Rear parking sensors are come on all trims, while the SL and higher also get front sensors. At the SV level and above, the 2023 Pathfinder has the ProPILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving system and upgraded lane intervention and blind-spot monitoring technology. The SL and higher get a surround-view monitor, with the Rock Creek's version also getting an off-road mode.
